My DH is flying into Gainesville, FL today

#1 Postby nolabelplez » Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:24 am

I underestimated the size of this gal. After last year, I was trying to stay cool. I thought this one was going to Alabama, so Florida could sit back and watch.

Now, I'm wondering if the G'ville airport will be shut down today.
How high do winds have to be to shut down an airport? (especially a regional like G'ville)
What kind of winds should the North Florida peninsula expect today?

Rain doesn't bother me, I live on a lake, and it could still stand to come up another 10 feet. It's up 15 feet from last year.

I don't think there will be a problem today. Worst weather will be tomorrow as the center passes well west. I don't think even that will be too bad though(just some rain and a little wind).

Thanks,
I can't believe I let this one slip up on me. I had outdoor plans tomorrow.
Atleast DH will be home tonight.
I may have to get counseling if this year is anything like last year. I'm still not done with repairs from last year.

Not having the faintest clue what a DH is, I turned to Google and found the answer:
http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Dh

Maybe you don't want him/her back! :D j/k

Sorry,
DH is Dear Husband.
If you're upset with them, it can mean Darn (or worse).

DD=Dear Daughter
DS=Dear Son
etc, etc.
