Finally getting out of TS Arlene

#1 Postby Scorpion » Thu Jun 09, 2005 6:01 pm

Finally things are starting to calm down after a rough day or so. This has been the worst storm Ive seen/been in since Frances, and the winds on deck felt so strong. This morning was intense, with 45 knot gusts across the ship some deckchairs went flying. The ship was rocking like a rollercoaster with the 12 foot waves, and you can hear the howl of the wind inside. Definitely felt much stronger than a minimal tropical storm, and according to the Weather Log we had Force 10 winds(Storm) for a short period of time. Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny and hot for Jamaica.
