sorry guys!

But, this looks too far east to suddenly go WNW. Unless it starts going west now, it looks like Florida will suffer a side blow from this..

I don't know my bearings? If it was to move west north west, it would hit somewhere in South Texas. And I'm not posting flames. You're on here like an ADHD kid telling everyone else "sorry guys" like you're in on the big action or something. I don't flame on Storm2k. But if you're going to take some potshots, remember that WNW is 2 steps west, 1 step north. Do the math.

Dude, I barely post on the weather forum, and it is people like you is the reason why I don't post more frequently. I am not a pro, so lie I said if anything it will go NW.

You must not know your bearings. Also, if you gonna post, then post, but don't start posting flames. Look at the visuals. If it has any chance of hitting AL/FL it will have to head NW, if anything.
Uhhh ... due NW from its current position would be eastern Texas. WNW would take it across the tip of Yucatan to the Texas/Mexico border.

I expect it will continue to track N with a gradual turn to the NNW, crossing western Cuba and up towards the Mississippi/Alabama/Florida panhandle coast area.

I'm not flaming you. I just didn't like the premise of the thread unless you were able to say where someone ("guys") actually said it was going to go WNW. I read most of the threads and NO ONE to my knowledge has made that claim this week. I'm not a pro either, far from it. Just don't get mad if someone wants a little proof of what you are saying others have claimed. It's all good. Forget about it.

yeah Steve, this thing gets just a tad more westerly component than predicted and I just might have a couple of nice feeder bands zipping around over here... you can always drive over and have a few cold ones with me as we sit in my front yard staring Arlene right in her face.. for me to get any real action she has to hit west of 89.0... not really sure if that is going to happen at the moment... I kinda like the Pascagoula to Ocean Spring area right now... at least we have something to watch without the fear of it killing us...

Its early morning in the tropics before the day time convection builds, and this thing is in its early stages. Give it some time through the day. Where it appears to be now from sat images, isn't. If you looked around 11 PM last night you'd swear this was a Central America storm. IMHO, saying a thread is lame has no redeeming value that anyone could figure out.

I think the INTENTION of the original poster was to state that, with Arlene's lopsided appearance on satellite, unless the storm were to make a sudden turn much more to the NW, then the peninsula of Florida is in for some quite nasty weather.
I don't think the poster was making any bold statement about the storm's future motion....
just my 2 cents
