New Data Buoy deployment complete !!

#1 Postby dhweather » Wed Jun 08, 2005 1:26 pm

The National Data Buoy Center had a mission from congress to get
six new data buoys deployed after the 2004 hurricane season.

The sixth and final one (42058) for this project is now online in the central Carribean.

These four (42055, 42056, 42057, 42058)

Plus these two (41040, 41041) are the new six buoys

These should provide a great deal of infomation when the season really gets going.

Of course, you can also grab all of the latest observations from all the buoys in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico (including the new buoys) via S2K's Worldwide Tropical Update webpage. http://tropicalupdates.nhcwx.com/buoy.htm

42056 should come in handy in a day or so.
