Look off Honduras

#1 Postby boca » Tue Jun 07, 2005 7:18 am

Maybe this could be the start of what the models are picking up on that will move into the GOM.

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html . it looks like the low is over HOnduras because of the circulation of the clouds heading south on the Pacific side and north off the NE coast of Honduras.

Try this. It appears to be a very weak circulation over central Honduras.

I see some spin, but it looks to me to be mid level. Let see what shakes out.

Thanks good eye Robert, also look at the water vapor shot from my previous post above and it looks like the system is directly over land.

Notice that the area off of Honduras is expanding with a twist.

Definately flaring up nicely this morning. I don't believe there was anything there yesterday!

This seems like it's the beginnings of what the models have been hinting at the past few days. Definately have something to watch now  .

There's a pretty strong trough plowing into the BOC now, that may
inhibit development.

At first I didn't see it, but there is apparently at least a mid level circ just inland of the NE tip of Honduras.

Timing couldn't be worse for my daughter who leaves tomorrow for Cozumel. Hopefully if it does develop all the convection will be East of her.

Certainly something interesting to watch. Perhaps it will be mentioned in the next TWO.
