The water vapor pic tells what is going on upstairs in the atmosphere. There is an upper low south of Puerto Rico causing the diffugent flow east of that low making things favorable for convection to form but making things unfavorable for tropical development..

I'm looking at a high-res visible loop. Up to about an hour ago before it got dark, I believe that I can see some mid-level turning in the vicinity of 11N/56W. It's east of the islands so they may not indicate anything. Shear is quite high over the system due to an upper-level low over the eastern Caribbean. Development chances are very low. But it'll be a rainy next 24hrs across the southern islands.

you know, guys, there are people from other countries that post on this board too.
I am not so sure they would appreciate your french jokes. we do have a poster here from the french island of Guadeloupe, I think.
Wouldn't those jokes be better in PM"s to each other?
I am not french but personally I don't particualrly like any ethnic jokes myself.
I know no harm is meant, but still..................

Don't you think we can become TOO PC? I mean...if we can't pick on the french...then life really isn't worth the living. After all...the french bring it on themselves. And in reality...it's not all French...it the Parisians. The French aren't bad...the Parisians are not worth a dime.
