To be fair, my problem is not with the analysis or the professional who created it. I am by far not the right person to question his work or forecast.
A lot of work needs to be done to better inform the public via graphical information. This includes everyone who disseminates emergency data or data as sensitive as potential hurricane landfall points.
Casual users see "Professional Meteorologist" or "AccuWeather" and take these maps as gospel when nothing could be further from the truth. It seems folks always listen to, and often believe whoever is making the most noise, not necessarily whoever is making the most sense.
Produce enough of these maps and someone is sure to be the winner.
