Huge System

#1 Postby Scorpion » Tue May 17, 2005 8:56 pm

Looking at the IR pics, I noticed how big this system really is. It looks the size of a well formed hurricane, and has very good banding in my view. I would not be surprised if it bombed into a nice looking Cat 3. Imagine if it crossed over and made it into the Caribbean as a Cat 2, then re-intensified into a Cat 3. It would surely be big news in Florida even if it doesnt affect us.

If it crossed over, its guaranteed that it would not be a category 2 even if its a category 3 at landfall :)

Yes the outflow does make it look large.

In satellite pics, you can tell its becoming more and more concentrated and trying to form a more centralized area of storms (I'm personally not ready to say CDO yet, but perhaps the beginning of one)

I see no reason for this not to be upgraded.

1# Perfect banding
2# starts of a cdo
3# Favable upper level outflow
4# It is going to keep up oreganizing.
