I just saw the infrared satellite loop of this blob in the Gulf of Mexico on the local NBC affilate... it appears to be moving more southeasterly in the last few hours, rather than due east.

Rain chances for central Florida are up a bit from earlier today, to 40 to 50 percent.

"Blob" is a better word than "-removed-." All weather enthusiasts general wish for interesting weather. So, technically we hopefully aren't "-removed-."

No tropical development with that shear, justs evere weather if it holds in florida. However, that flow needs to split more than it is for the storms to survive. It is a bit too zonal

There is another blob moving toward the one we have been watching today, moving into the Gulf of Mexico, from Texas.
