From the official Survivor website, "On the next Survivor". If you go to the link, you can view a video of previews. At first I thought the solid alliance referred to, would be Tom and Ian. Now I'm thinking it might be Ian and Katie. You know Jennifer's once solid alliance is sitting in the jury now!

The Final Four rethink their strategies when a once-solid alliance dissolves with the slip of a tongue.

After an emotional Tribal Council, arguments erupt, feelings are hurt and friendships are questioned.

A shocking development during the Final Immunity Challenge promises to go down in SURVIVOR history.

Tears and harsh words fuel a tense session between the Jury and the Final Two.

There's more! From the Friday morning TV Guide critique Watercooler column.....LOL at the coughcough comments and Steph's best nic - She-Ra.

Survivor
OK, Caryn basically asked to go home. Survivor rules clearly state that you do not reveal your strategy and alliances at tribal council; they can always come back to bite you. Remember, be cordial-ish while stabbing people in the back until you've got that million-dollar check in your hand. But her whole rant was worth it to see the great expressions on Coby's face. You know the little mischief-maker is just lappin' up all these emaciated contestants going at each other's throats. But watching the jury does make me really miss Stephenie. It's gotta be killing the curly haired She-Ra to be sitting over there watching undeserving people like coughcoughJenniferandKatiecoughcough still playing the game. Actually, Katie has at least kind of earned her spot in the final four. Sure, she lazed around and watched other people work and tried to be comic relief instead of tough competition, but her acting performance with the girls and then with Ian was remarkable. Someone get this girl an agent, because the way that she wrapped Ian around her little finger shows she could have some serious acting chops. I still want Ian to win, not only because I've got 5 bucks on him in the office pool, but because he was a good player... well, at least until he royally screwed up his plan tonight. Hopefully he'll remember before Sunday's finale that he isn't swimming with dolphins anymore — these people are sharks. — Angel Cohn

Yep... VERY anxious, although 9pm is tough. Housewives is on at the same time. My plan is to watch it ASAP after Survivor but I'm probably going to wind up watching half of it live.

Three letters-VCR.

I have picture in picture on my TV so I can record it and watch something else while I have it on a little box on the screen. Survivor is getting recorded in the other room.

We had ourselves a complete Tom-fest, didn't we sunny, Karan and whoever else was feasting their eyes on him!!! LOL

But seriously, sitting next to Katie, Tom deserved to win, 100%! If I had been a member of that jury, I could never have given Katie a vote. I don't know what Coby has against Tom - maybe someone could briefly state what his gripe is - but when pitted next to Katie, you'd have to not paying attention, not to give it to Tom! He clearly deserved this win.

That said - back to the Tom-fest again - I miss his beard and mustache! LOL At least grow a mustache back Tom!!!

Coby's a dad! And named his new baby Janu! Awwww, that's nice. I've lost all faith in his profession - the haircutting one, be nice now, he he - so after he announced he adopted a baby girl and seemed so nice tonight I told my family - okay, I would let Coby cut my hair....LOL (I've been cutting my own hair since last June, after my last scalping/butchering by a socalled trustworthy hairdresser). Enough about that.....

Wanda - singing again! Sure looked like Jeff cut her off though....she might have had another verse up her sleeve!

And what was up with Angie ragging on Johnathan? Guess more went down those first 3 days than we all knew about.

Ian - that boy finally wised up. I wanted him to win, but Tom was my very close second choice so I'm happy. I admire Ian for doing what he did. Had to laugh when he said Tom was three times his age.....LOL

Next!

Mary

PS - oh, oh, oh....how can I forget Steph!!! I had read in TV Guide, the actual mag, that they still can't believe she's not in the final four or three. I can't either when you think how little Katie worked around camp and Steph never sat on her butt. It was nice to learn she's a very popular female Survivor. Hopefully, she'll get something out of that popularity.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh Tom !!!!!!!

Kudos to Ian for growing up....all he had to do the night before was admit what he did to Tom and he could have possibly won it all....that's all Tom wanted was for him to be a man and admit it.

I also hope Stephaine gets something out of this...she was a hard player and deserves something!

First of many follow up articles on Tom's big win....won't post the rest, since they'll be repetitive. Enjoy your win Tom! You deserve it. He's the oldest ever to win Survivor!

Tom Westman Wins 'Survivor: Palau'

By DERRIK J. LANG
Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK (AP) -- At 41, New York City firefighter Tom Westman scorched his competition on "Survivor: Palau" to become the oldest winner of the competitive reality show.

"I played with intensity," the gray-haired Westman told The Associated Press in an interview following his win Sunday at the Ed Sullivan Theater. "I didn't hold back and fly under the radar. I thought I might be able to do that, but they got the real Tom Westman out there."

In a season of "Survivor" firsts, Westman stuck to his day-one alliance with dolphin trainer Ian Rosenberger and advertising executive Katie Gallagher and led the Koror tribe to win every immunity challenge, a feat that's never happened in the past nine seasons of "Survivor."

"Somebody told me recently they stopped coloring their hair after I did so well on the challenges," Westman joked.

Westman, a father of three who lives in Sayville, N.Y., made no secret of his prowess, winning seven individual immunity challenges and staying out of hot water when it came time for players to vote each other off the island. He never received a vote against him.

"When I saw how young the cast was, I thought, `This is gonna be perfect,'" Westman told the AP. "They're not going to know I'm a physical threat until it's too late for them. I didn't get to play that game. I played it hard. I played it as myself. While some people think that may not be too bright strategically, it did work out for me."

Westman is now $1 million richer and the owner of a new car. He said he plans to use the money toward college for his children and fixing up his house.

"I'm going to take care of my family," he said. "We've now got that cushion that most middle-class families don't have. Everything is going to be a little easier, a little sweeter."

The finale wasn't sweet for the three losers. Nanny Jenn Lyon lost during a tiebreaker challenge after Westman learned Rosenberger planned to double-cross him. Then, Rosenberger gave up during the final endurance immunity challenge, insisting Westman take Gallagher to the final two in a show of respect. During the final tribal council, runner-up Gallagher was called "mean" and "lazy."

Following Westman's win, host Jeff Probst announced the next location and title for the eleventh edition of the reality show: "Survivor: Guatemala - The Maya Empire." Probst said the latest batch of survivors will live among Mayan ruins.

Yes...given the way things played out the after the turn of events that took Steph out of the game, I think it was one of the best "Survivor" programs. It really defined the term. Lots of emotion and sharp turns...people lost that shouldn't and people won who shouldn't.

Realistically...probably neither Tom nor Steph would have been in the finals as they were both superior to most other players and a risk. Immunity showed its real value this time around.

Katie did get there by default. Couldn't really defend how it happened. I guess I would have just thrown it back on the jury and said..."Hey, each of you had your chances then, so look inside and figure it out now!"

Still enjoy the show each time around. Guatemala will be fun too.

I want Jeff's job, though.

Probably sits back and sips on Mai Tai's every night while the rest of the group tears each other up.

Steve - yeah we wonder about Jeff's job too. Looks like one of the best host jobs out there right now. During the 11 hour plus challenge, as it began to rain, Laura said he'd be sitting there all dry and cozy, under a nice big umbrella or cover. Sipping something warm. Not! I was happy to see him get rained on actually.

I do wonder though, he must have to remain on location, right? No zipping back home for a day here or there. For what 2 months, he's on location, two to three times a year? We all know he has perks back at the hotel room though.

During the reunion he seemed very interested in their answers b/c this Survivor round did offer a lot, as you pointed out so well Steve. A lot of firsts. And Jeff did mention once again - having never been a Survivor, I don't know what that feels like.

They ought to make him spend a few days in camp once. Just once!

I wondered that too, especially after he wanted updates on the two romances that surfaced this Survivor. I wanted to know if he was still dating Julie!

I was actually happy there weren't any on the spot proposals last night. I didn't want anything to take the focus off Tom's much deserving win.

Sunny - is it still a Tom-fest if he won? LOL Let's declare this Tom Day!
