#1 Postby cycloneye » Fri May 13, 2005 5:25 am

I say IF it gets better organized in terms of a LLC forming and upper conditions improve yes but otherwise no so right now i will go with a 50/50 chance to see 90L.

It's got some way to go, but I wouldn't say that it is out of the question.

IT is getting interesting. I think unless the shear lessens then only copius amounts of precip from this  The NCEP discussion is hinting at possible development though

Remember it is fighting shear. But by the way it looks in if it doe's get some what to the surface then a invest seems like a good choice.

I would vote yes. Is this a Jamaica/Cuba/Bahamas sort of possible path? Family on vacation in the Bahamas - that's why I'm asking.

Chances are it won't. The shear in the southern Carribean is increasing, and it's already very high further north.

This does indicate substantial potential in the area, though. Come June we'll likely have some action there.

Some of the tops of the clouds go up to 50,000 feet meaning they are cold. But as others noted mr shear is pretty strong in the area especially in the northern caribbean and it will preclude anything to get going.

It is a invest now. Have to watch if the shear dies down in a LLC forms.
