Yes one of the first waves to enter the eastern Caribbean but is a weak one with only some scattered showers expected in the islands.

Luis, I was looking at the weather in FL and noticed that by accident because the wave was moving East to West and I became used to the weather coming from the West. Are you excited about the 1st wave?

Well not really excited as it is a very weak wave but being the first one it is interesting to start to see them early moving around. On average around 100 waves move from east to west thru the Basin.

I wonder if this wave will make it to the E. Pacific. Getting near the time, lol.

Looks good to be the first notable wave of the year, it will most likely not develop in the Caribbean Sea but it could be the first good chance to see "Adrian" develop.

Yes, it will certainly be interesting to watch the wave in that respect.

I don't know why, but I like the name "Adrian" for a storm, lol.

Truly the name "Adrian" sound good for a hurricane, it's short and easy to pronounce. This is a list of the four times the name has been used in the Eastern Pacific, 2005 will mark the fifth time the name is used. The record is tied 2-2 with 2 tropical storms and 2 hurricanes.

Interesting. Let's see if it tips the scales this year and becomes a hurricane or not.

...TROPICAL WAVES...
TROPICAL WAVE ALONG 61W DRIFTING WESTWARD. THE WAVE IS EMBEDDED
WITHIN MODERATE NW FLOW ALOFT WHICH IS DISPLACING MOST OF THE
SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TO THE E OF THE LESSER ANTILLES AND
APPEARS TO BE ELONGATING AS IT PASSES OVER THE ISLANDS.
CURRENTLY...SCATTERED SHOWERS/ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE FROM
11N-14N BETWEEN 56W-60.5W INCLUDING BARBADOS. THIS ACTIVITY WILL
BE SPREADING ACROSS THE LEEWARD/WINDWARD ISLANDS OVER THE NEXT 6
TO 12 HOURS BRINGING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS TO
THE ISLANDS,

Rain, and much rain; for now!

It's here!!!!!!!!!!!!
heavy rain right now.
now much wind but looks like today will be a rainy one for us here in st. maarten.
I don't know if this will clear up later in the day or stick with us all day.
as usual, we are delighted because we still need rain and the tourists are unhappy because they can't go to the beach!
