I think Skeetobite's EXCELLENT animation reveals something about the global situation. Except for a period in the middle of the animation where the Eastern Pacific was significantly cooler than normal, ALL the world's tropical waters are quite a bit above average for this time of year. This holds true across the Atlantic, Pacific AND Indian Basins. There remains a persistently cool pocket off the US East Coast, but even that is whittling away. Is this another subtle sign of.......GASP
...... Global Warming??????
