LOl...Yep It is always good. A lot of my plants were thrown around and some branches were broken off some dead trees. My husband was North of me at work though, and he got into his truck (he works outside) the wind got really heavy and the hailstones were much larger where he was. I dont know if he got caught in a microburst or something because the way he explained the movement of the trees (circular) and there were rooftiles flying past him. When the storm past the damage did not sound like it was from a straight line wind, it was more like a patch of damage.

Wow Amanzi, that is a nice sized stone!! How much bigger was it when you started drinking the beer? J/K It does sound like your hubby may have been in s microburst or possibly there was a brief funnel cloud that didn't touch down. Much nastier than ours was for sure.
What is strange to me, here in Houston, is the fact that the storm yesterday was the 5th severe we've had this year and the 3rd with hail. I don't remember any year when we had hail 3 times, much less severe storms every 3 weeks or so.

Drinking isn't my thing and I wish it wasn't for any of my Storm2K family. Hopefully none of our friends here at Storm2K drink more than they really should.

Thanks for the hailstone photo, Bron... I am still waiting to see my first "Floridian Hail." :) I only have seen "Southern New England Hail" a couple times, not too common up there, considering.

Thunderstorms in the Tampa area are giving me quite a 'light show' to my southwest. However, only ten to fifteen seconds after a flash there was some pretty loud thunder, which means the storm was only two to three miles away.

As you may of heard, (Bronwyn and Chad), local meteorologists said that the activity should mainly pass to the south of Orlando.

Well, I think most of us do get along and respect each other
for being our wonderful individual selves!

Anyway, if most people I know had drank the beer first,
that hail stone would have gradually gotten to be the size
of Grandpa's barn with each telling of the story!

Cool stone, Bron!

LOL Breeze.. See thats why I took the photo.. It is proof!

Tom thanks for the concern about us all and it is soo sweet of you to say so :) Beer in South Africa (as with the Dutch and German people) is very common place in a home. There are of course people who have problems with alcohol (very sad indeed and a horrible sickness) Beer is just part of my culture. When its hot we drink beer if someone comes to visit we drink beer. South Africans in general Love beer :)

Bron, you are welcome for my concern. :D I have always disliked drinking alcohol. I don't see how someone can drink something to literally get themselves sick and worse off get others hurt besides themselves.

I know full well that people have problems with it. My neighbor across the street has had a problem with it, he has been doing very well lately.

Also, I am sure many of you heard that drinking beer (any alcohol) during hot and humid conditions is dangerous. It can easily dehydrate you.
