SERIOUS TORNADO WARNING

#1 Postby WXBUFFJIM » Fri Apr 25, 2003 12:35 pm

Greene and northeast Sumter Counties in west central Alabama are under tornado warnings until 1 PM CDT. At 12:24 PM, the public reported a tornado on the ground 13 miles west of Clinton moving east at 25 mph. Watch it in Clinton. Two homes have been completely destroyed in southern Pickens County, AL. This is a very dangerous and life threatening situation. Go to the basement immediately in this area.

That's for sure, Bronwyn. The problem is people don't take tornadoes seriously as they should after the continous reports (at least) every spring and into the summer they see pictures of their destruction on television.

Wow Talking SVR cells it seems that Yesterday and monday had the most tornado and hail reports. Now that same system is due in my area tonight (PHL). Hopefully it would weaken a bit!
