Severe weather threat today will be from tennessee into Alabama and north Georgia. Large hail is the primary threat along with an iaolated tornado in Tennessee including in Nashville. Meanwhile keep an eye out for hail, an isolated tornado, but particularly damaging winds for northern Alabama, and north Georgia. Definitely some severe squall line with bow echos definitely likely today as the primary severe mode.
Farther south into north central Florida, keep an eye out for isolated large hail, damaging winds, and excessive lightning. Frequent to excessive lightning can occur even in general thunderstorms. So keep an eye on this. Whether the storms are severe or not, lightning is a killer, so take shelter if conditions do warrant doing just that..

I can relate to that, Chad... some of the grass was either on the way to turning yellow or already yellow around here. The automatic yard sprinklers were used a few time in the last month.... don't want use it that much, considering.
Very windy here, there has been some fairly loud rumbles of thunder, but nothing too loud and lightning hasn't been that obvious as of yet.
