Worldwide Tropical Update: 17 March 2005

The Storm2K Worldwide Tropical Update for Saint Patrick’s Day 2005 at 06Z.

Notice: Starting tomorrow I’ll be on vacation. Therefore, updates here on the message board and updates to the webpage will not occur. I should return toward the beginning of next week. Take care!

Tropical Storm Roke (0502/02W) (17/06Z)
Position: 11.6N 121.2E (200 mi S of Manila, Philippines)
Movement: WNW at 18 mph
Winds: 55 mph
Pressure: 994 mb / 29.35"
Dvorak Est: T3.0/4.0

Roke continues to track across the central Philippines. Expect further weakening as Roke crosses the South China Sea toward southern Vietnam.

I've updated the 06Z update to correct Roke's wind speed for a monsterous 565 mph to a more reasonable 55 mph. :lol:

COnsidering she is around the Phillipines I bet that is good news.
