Position: 14.1S 148.8E (355 mi SSE of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea)
Movement: Stationary
Winds: 105 mph
Pressure: 965 mb / 28.50"
Dvorak Est: T5.0/5.0
Ingrid has quickly intensified into a powerful cyclone between Queensland and Papua New Guinea. Further intensification is expected as this system sits quasi-stationary. However, model guidance suggests that in a few days this system can pose a threat to the northeastern coast of Queensland and will have to be monitored..

Position: 14.3S 148.5E (360 mi N of Townsville, Australia)
Movement: WSW at 5 mph
Winds: 125 mph
Pressure: 930 mb / 27.46"
Dvorak Est: T6.0/6.0
Ingrid has continued to intensified as it drifts toward the Queensland coast. At post time, BoM has issued tropical cyclone watch from Port Douglas to Lockhart River. Further development is expected. Official forecasts have Ingrid reaching category five strength on the Saffir-Simpson Scale. This will definitely be of concern for those in the cyclone watch area.

Thanks for the update, senorpepr...what are you thinking? I'm going to guess 140MPH at landfall...right in the middle of the range.
