TC INGRID HAS USED VERY WELL ITS POSITION OVER THE VERY WARM WATERS OF THE CORAL SEA TO INTENSIFY SINCE IT BECAME AN OFFICIAL CYCLONE. RIGHT NOW, EVERYONE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BE CHECKING THEIR PREPARATION GUIDE AND GET READY TO EXPERIENCE THE MOST POWERFUL STORM TO HIT EASTERN QUEENSLAND SINCE 1989, 16 YEARS. FOLKS, THIS IS HISTORY IN THE MAKING. BUT THERE IS A GOOD NEWS, IF ANY, THE COMPACT SIZE OF THE CYCLONE SHOULD KEEP THE DAMAGED AREA TO A SMALL PORTION OF THE STATE, BUT, IF THIS SLOW MOTION CONTINUES UNTIL LANDFALL, THEN THE HIT AREA WILL SUFFER TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCES. LIKE I USE TO SAY IN THIS SITUATIONS, "PREPARE FOR THE WORSE, AND THEN PREY FOR THE BEST."

I read they're saying Ingrid is now as bad as Tracy.

Although that was when Ingrid was a Category 4 (Australian scale). Ingrid's now a Category 5.

Unfortunately, I read that tides are high this time of year on the coast.
