Manhattan Conditions, 2/28-3/1
Yes, I've been banished from Western Mass and have relocated somewhere in Manhattan. No snow as of high noon here...but I'll keep the usual updates coming. May even throw in a few photos in if I can get things working this time. The locals just called for 2-inch/hour rates this evening with qualified "blizzard conditions" tonight. Ho-hum.

Man, things really picked up around 4PM...definitely 1-2 inches/hour snow were coming down. The wind also picked up. And that's pretty much still going on right now. Shots from around 4PM...

10:30 PM...
After a slight lull in the action over the past couple hours, things have picked up all of a sudden. Oh man. I don't have much in terms of street lights to work with, but I can still tell that it is REALLY coming down out there. No doubt about it 2+ inch/hour rate... Pretty large flakes are flying all over my windows. Snow is going up, down, all over the place. Can't really tell how much in terms of accumulation with the streets and sidewalks being plowed and sanded constantly. I'l be out and about later on and at that time I'll get a better picture of what's going on.
Shots from 11PM added...

Sorry, this is the best I can do. You can kinda see the faint yellow lights of the Empire St Building in one of them...
