Florida tornado yesterday

#1 Postby melhow » Mon Feb 28, 2005 12:11 pm

Anyone else down here experience that weather yesterday? I was driving towards Tampa on Highway 60 just east of the Florida Turnpike (Yeehaw Junction) around 3:30-4:00, and HOLY COW! in my 30 years in FL, that was one of the WORST storms I have ever been in.

Palm Bay reported a tornado from that cell at around 4p. I would put money that there was another touchdown before the one in Palm Bay on HWY 60 about 20 miles east of Lake Wales. I passed a field that flanked the highway and a big swath looked like it had just been cut through the trees.

Report in if you are around that area....

Yes melhow.. I am North of there in Volusia county..

Here is the kicker though.. One of the houses hit by the tornadoe in Palm bay got hit bad and the owner was down south.. So the officials where in the house securing it etc.. When they stumbled across 46 pot plants in the house along with all kinds of growing equipment.. Now later that night the owner came home (he didnt know they found his plants etc.) So he walks right up to the Media (fox news) and was all to willing to talk about the storm and how he just got his housed fixe d from the hurricanes of 04 etc.. The reporter then asked what he thought about the cops finding all his plants.. LOL!! The guy then said I dont know what your talking about and walked away.. Bad day for that guy. lol

First the child-porn guy who got nailed after the remnants of Ivan hit him...now this guy. Who says storms are all bad?

Just about have enough material for a Nature's Justice episode of Cops.

Gee...if I had 46 items of an illicit nature...and my roof got taken off...I would probably check that out before spouting off to the media...but that's just me...

What a clown...or here's a better idea....the tornado must have dropped them there?

Idiot.
