OK, so Gloria was not the disaster she was hyped up to be. But she was still a bad storm. Although I was only 4, I remember Gloria. I remember being frightened by the sound of the wind whistling through the electrical lines. I lived in Peabody, MA at the time. Far from the eye, but in the NE quadrant.

Here's some photos from Hurricane Bob in 1991. Bob was one of the most destructive and deadliest hurricanes to hit New England in recent memory, killing 18 and causing $1.5 billion in damage.
