Actually, I'm not sure. There was Los Angeles in 1984 then Atlanta in 1996. Only 12 years.

If I'm not mistaken, there is not a time limit. It simply is dependent on a rating system of the local area. Once they narrow the field down to a few, then it's a simple vote.

The vote is just an hour away and looks very close between London and Paris. Lets just hope the IOC members vote the right way. :)

Moscow and New York were eliminated in the first round.
Madrid was eliminated in the second round.

...and then there were two: London and Paris.
