Here's what we talked about last night...sorry I haven't had a chance to get to the earlier..sorry about that...but anyway...
I've humbly accepted an invitation from Mark Sudduth and Jesse Bass to work with the Hurricane Research team during the upcoming 2005 season. I won't be helping out on every storm...but will be involved with a couple at least depending on how much time each event takes up.
As Mark has described it...this is a bit of a trial run to see how we all work together and we'll decide where it goes from there...but I an tell you that I am very excited about this invitation and will do everything I can to contribute to the team...it was an honor to be asked...
Anyway...the good news is that I'll be reporting in to Storm2K during these adventures...probably much more frequently than I can while sitting at work (well...we'll see...there is a lot of work to do)...and we will be broadcasting live from on the road and at the places we'll be setting up the equipment...so this should add a whole new aspect to the streaming audio broadcasts as well.
Of course there are more details to come but I thought I'd go ahead and pass this on...we're going to try to run a replay of the show from last night sometime in the next couple of days...Jesse and Mark did a really good job explaining all of the things they plan to do in 2005...I'm just glad I'll be riding along for part of it...

A great opportunity for you, as you're obviously aware!! Fortunately, we will all be able to share in your experiences as you bring them directly to S2K. Yet another addition to the list of reasons for being a member of this fantastic board. Congratulatioins on your invitation!
Looking forward to your "reports from the road"....

Mike - as you know i was soooo excited to hear this - you are very deserving of this honor. Can't wait for the time to get here - just hope it isn't near us again! lol but if it is you have got to promise to keep us up-to-date like last year! You helped keep us safe and to know what to expect when! Thanks again for all you do with the shows and forecasts.
