Huricane CLEO of 1964

#1 Postby HUC » Mon Feb 07, 2005 5:17 pm

Does someone got a link to a satellite photograph of hurricane Cleo in 1964??I think,it was a nimbus 1 satellite at this time, and not sure that any imagery was taken about Cleo...
So,any info will be gratefully received.
Here in Guadeloupe,we have overcast sky, from the frontal boundary, but any rain,is very light. The wind came from the N NO since 2 days now,and we got temperatures around the 17,or 21°C .

Your links are very interesting, indeed. What an eye, with this hurricane!I suffered from CLEO here in Guadeloupe(i was 17 years old),as this storm passes by with with sustained of 100kts,gusts around 120,and Cleo became a cat 4 just west of
Guadeloupe.A small, fast moving, but rather vicious.I will never forgot the calm of the eye (15 minutes),and then the sudden return of the wind, with an instant gust tha blow away a man that was hanging on an electric pole...
Thank's again
