Snow Accumulation Map For Northeast

Before looking at the map the map I'd like to just point out a few things...

1) Snow accumulation in southern NE... Yes it will be that high, the snow ratio's being through the roof will allow this, rumors that snow ratios could be as high as 30:1 in some area in NE, it won't take alot of liquid for my forecast to come true. I almost want to have two centers of heavy snow, but have decided to stay clear for now.

2) Model support, I have none for this forecast, but I have seen this time and time again, the 2-3 day period before a major storm, the models go coo-coo...

Alright here it is, feel free to blast me, if you'd like LOL... You won't see meke any other maps either, so you will be judging me buy this, I'm nervous as confidence is still moderate, but no guts no glory...

New York City seems to be on the 15 - 20 inch line. better yet seems we could have some great TV with the football games! Snow in both places!

Fields need to be adjusted somewhat south on your southern perimeters. D.C. will get more than your indication. Sloppy line also needs to go a little south. Areas around RIC will get a mix, but should see around 3 inches of snow, some before the transition and probably some on the back side. Appreciate you posting a quality graphic when no one else will commit-good work.

Does that include the possibility of a wintry mix in some areas. I've heard that their is some uncertainty as to how much warm air is going to be pulled up northward ahead of the low and how far north that warm air goes. I guess it depends on how much cold air gets pulled southward by that Canadian high. I live in Pittsburgh and they have us right on the border of just plain snow and a wintry mix. I don't want that wintry mix since it will cut down the snowfall totals and make driving even more dangerous! I hope your map is right though. You have my area getting about 10 or 11 inches. I'll be happy with that at this point!

I am just west of Pittsburgh. They havent even issued any totals or anything from my local stations yet.

They haven't said anything here with any confidence either. I was just going by what the poster's map said when I said 10 inches, although I think he revised that in a different thread. All I've heard so far is at least several inches and the local NOAA forecast hasn't updated since 4:49AM so it doesn't say anything yet except moderate accumalations possible. It usually updates around 3:30 for sure so we'll see what it says then.
