Does anyone know if they will add this storm in the reanalysis? It seemed to have subtropical characteristics.

I thought they said it was warm-core.

The 1994 season was weird. It was dead from mid September to early November. Then comes Florence and Gordon. If they hadn't formed, Chris would have been the only hurricane that year!

Gordon was the worst of the season with a death toll of around 1,145

Yes. Why Gordon was not retired is beyond me. Gordon caused $400 million in damage in Florida after crossing the state 3 times. Plus the track of the storm!

Florence was the strongest storm of the season, with sustained winds of 110 mph. There were no major hurricanes in 1994, although Florence obviously came close.
