96 and 97 advisory archive question

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Sat Dec 11, 2004 4:49 pm

the question is: Where is it? I cannot seem to find this anywhere. Found a link a couple of years ago, but have long since forgotten it. I have 1991-1995 and of course 1998-present, but what about the 2 missing years. If someone could help me out, I'd appreciate it

I vaguely remember something posted on the NHC website a while back that there were some problems with some archived information, and apparently, that happens to be one of those.

UNISYS has the actual archived NHC plots (before "best track" reanalysis) ...

unisys has the BT info. I am wondering about the actual advisories and discussions though. Unisys does not have this

Weathermatrix I believe has it, but you have to pay for it to get it on CD.

Edit: Whoa, found a possible place, but it isn't working. This one site has a link to an archive of discussions for storms. It is called FSU. Anyone know about that site?

Florida State is only from 2001 onward. I use that archive for old recon reports

I am just looking for discussions and public advisories from 1996 and 1997

1996 was one of those intergov use only years...even though the product was available on the NHC site....I have printouts from most of 1996 and 1997 but I don't know of anything available online.

Of course...there were only a handful of discussions in 97 anyway...
