That's not an eye, per se. That's a partially exposed LLC. However, there is a possibility we could see a true eye over the next couple of days if the shear lets up some...similar to Olga in 2001.
Nevertheless, just look at that nicely formed tight LLC...I will clarify that this could only be a subtropical (and not tropical) cyclone at this time.
I think they are waiting for the convection to persist longer so that the wind-field contracts. This happens all the time.
