Hey Downdraft...welcome to yet another hurricane season filled with (until the end of July), in no paticluar order:

1. A surprise storm popping up out of nowhere
2. One or two Gulf vs. Florida arguments. I still wonder why people in North Carolina don't ever thing a storm is heading straight for them.
3. Dissapointing blob after dissapointing blob.

But...I have a feeling we will all be fairly busy come August with legit systems to deal with.

Good to see you back...

Life got really hectic- we've been in the process of buying a house for the last 6 months (long story), had a few family illnesses and just needed a bit of a break from the 'net.

But it's hurricane season... and there's nothing like a storm to lure me back online :)

When I wrote this I had no idea what the season would bring and especially for us here in Florida. To follow these storrms and then feel their power has been an awesome and humbling experience. No other storm on the planet matches the hurricane in my book. As this year ends now I can only wonder what 2005 will bring and the posts we will read as part of the experience. While it may be a tad early to say "the fat has lady has sung," I'm looking forward to a turkey dinner and a log on the fire. See you all on the winter boards!

Good news is down here is So. Fla we might have been overactive in September but there is no need for any logs on the fire as we bask in BEAUTIFUL weather in the winter!
