Maybe Members in the SE florida area can meet at a centralized location so we all can meet face to face.

May be central and SW Floridians should meet at "Hurricane Hanks" on Anna Maria Island. At least the name seems appropriate for a Tropical Weather Board Meeting!

And there's always the landmark "Hurricane" restaurant on Pass-a-Grille Beach (St Petersburg).

What about a central location for the peninsula of FL? We all talk to each other on the site anyway so what's the difference.

I came out with the same idea twice for Florida members to meet, being the central portion of the state or the entire state. Once months ago and again in TeamSpeak. It probably isn't the best idea and I am not one to pursue getting the time and space for such a get together.

Tom... do you think we need any particular organized event? why not just an un-organized gathering with an agreed time and place?
I guess we're just still all busy after this season.
(Durn insurance won't cover diddly-squat but that's another rant-topic)

I'd love Anna Maria. Many happy visits there.

But, I'm off next weekend for my 14th anniversary.
Chris_fit, ever been to Beaujeans, in Melbourne?
Hubby and I had many a date there, around our nuptials.

Well, I'm pretty new here, but I'd kick it around.

a meeting of all of Florida may be very hard since it is about a 13 hour drive from Key West to Pensacola.

However, if we get have a meeting for S fla, C Fla, N Fla, and the Panhandle, then maybe

Great idea Boca, a SE FL gathering sounds like a great idea. I'll help you plan it if you like.......let me know! I'm thinking for this gathering we have members from Palm Beach Gardens to Miami. That sound about right?

(All Storm 2k members from other locations would be welcome too!)

I'm interested. Maybe western Broward would be a good middle point for people on both (all three?) coasts of S Florida.

The Keys are a nice place to visit too. :D :D

Don't forget about us up here in Jupiter. There are at least four of us on this board ... myself, weatherboy, botag, scorpion (I was wondering if he took his name from the rock band after hearing "Rock Me Like A Hurricane" on the radio the other day.

Hey Mascpa I'm in the same county so I won't forget about you and everyone else, but we need a central location which is very difficult.

I am also working on some things that may actually help with this. I will post the information when it becomes available.
Wish me luck!!!
