530 PM EDT SAT OCT 23 2004

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

...A LITTLE MORE ACTIVITY TODAY...

SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW AN AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ASSOCIATED WITH A VIGOROUS TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 700 MILES
EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS. THIS SYSTEM HAS BECOME A
LITTLE BETTER ORGANIZED DURING THE DAY AND UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE
FAVORABLE FOR SOME DEVELOPMENT. THIS SYSTEM MAY BRING SQUALLY
WEATHER TO THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS DURING THE NEXT DAY OR
TWO.

A STRONG EXTRATROPICAL STORM CENTERED ABOUT 150 MILES NORTHWEST OF
BERMUDA IS BEING MONITORED FOR SIGNS OF SUBTROPICAL DEVELOPMENT.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS SYSTEM CAN BE FOUND IN HIGH SEAS
FORECASTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE...UNDER AWIPS
HEADER NFDHSFAT1 AND WMO HEADER FZNT01 KWBC.

ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CENTERED BETWEEN THE LEEWARD ISLANDS
AND THE AZORES IS ACCOMPANIED BY A LARGE AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND
SHOWERS. ALTHOUGH THIS SYSTEM HAS BECOME A LITTLE BETTER
ORGANIZED...UPPER LEVEL WINDS ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR ADDITIONAL
DEVELOPMENT.

AND YET...ANOTHER WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS LOCATED IN THE
SOUTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA ACCOMPANIED BY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...WILL BE SLOW TO OCCUR.

ELSEWHERE..TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH SUNDAY.

I think the headline was an understatement...

Ordered List of the storms mentioned above from Most Probable to Develop to Least Probable

1. Bermuda Low (STS Otto?)...ST1.5/1.5 99L INVEST
2. Windward Islands (Paula?)
3. SW Caribbean (Richard?) Models progging it for a while now.
4. Azores-Leewards...not likely to develop IMO.

WOW! Here we go ya'll. This might just be the killer blow to the E-Pac to put away our 2nd straight title. And remember, if we get a few storms out of this run, using up the list of names is not out of the question; only 4 will remain. You never know...
