Big Time Thanks

#1 Postby MWatkins » Thu Oct 21, 2004 10:47 pm

Just wanted to take a second to thank everyone...and I do mean everyone for all of the great and mostly civil discussions this season.

I can't possibly list everyone so I won't even try...but this season has been by far the most collaborative and enjoyable season I have ever experienced. Believe it or not I have learned more this season that the last 3 combined.

Chad, Marshall, Derrick O, Mark S, Floybuster, Lynn, Aquawind, Cycloneye, Destruction5, VbHoutex, Alhurricane, AirForceMet, Lindaloo, Windspeed, Dr O and so many others have made this season memorable... wow...not even halfway through the list...there are so many more I want to thank.

Sure, we had a bunch of landfalling hurricanes down here...but the discussion was top notch.

Look like this season is coming to a quiet end...hard to rule anything out for sure...but I am glad I joined in the discussion here this year.

Well, Mike. It was fun.(3 major hurricanes hitting was not) but I learned alot this year. Heck, I went from a guy who sent a PM to Dr. O saying "SURE, I'LL BROADCAST THE TROPICAL UPDATES"...a month later I was able to stream, had my own show, and was the only person available to broadcast during the worst storm this season (IMO), Hurricane Charley.
Through all the candy wrappers, and bad coffee, and sleepless nights (I STILL HAVE MESSED UP SLEEP, FIRST TIME I SAYED UP WAS WHEN THE REMNEATS OF TD-2 (BONNIE) WERE ENTERING THE GULF, (THAT WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME I MET ZACK) my sleep has been screwed up since then, since...August 8th. Thank you, and I hope you all stay for whatever 2005 has to throw. I know I will be here, next year, with the same old corny jokes, 80's music, and ALERT MODE music.

No Doubt MW you have been one of the biggest Rocks for this Board for the entire season and I can wait to start listening to you discussions once again next year. It's been a hell of a season this year and you were there right there with us through out.

The thanks are endless...

You worked your Tail Off and deserve much Thanks as well.. It has been a awesome positive year for Storm2K board and it's members. It has been very refreshing to see such a positive and personable group of weather fans and professionals interacting not only to learn about weather but also help those in need with serious questions. You have been a Big part of this great communication machine at Storm2K and Radio NHCWX.

Thank You! Mike

I appreciate your expertise not only on the board Mike, but also on the radio, and giving people the right to voice their opinions in a civil way.
You are a good find for S2K. Keep on rolling for next yr. Very interesting season for me since, I had some real near misses, living here north of TPA.
Enough wind to make me realize the diff between 75 mph and 145.

Thank you very much Mike for all of your insight this season. You are the best in my opinion. I still say your call of Frances while it was still over Africa was very impressive. Have a happy winter everyone!

Wouldn't be possible without you Mike Watkins. Your there through Hurricanes, Working all day, oh yea and having the kids during a show!!! LOL

I will be right back onside Mike Naso next year and I think this year Storm 2K has tripled it's size and many of other websites and shows have exploded with hits or listeners.

Congratulations to Storm 2K(Chad, Marshall, Bob, ALL forecasters and moderators)
Radio NHCWX (Steve)

Looking forward to another Hurricane Season with all of you and all the other Storm 2K members.

I second that ... I wish that I would have had more time away from my work to be able to do a lot more this season in regarding to forecasting. Mike, you have been a great asset and a key element to Storm2k's growth and success this year ... I personally thank you...
