I go to the Snowball Derby every year in Pensacola and it was VERY hard finding a motel room this year.

I do not know what the Snowballers are going to do this year if they can't find rooms. The clerks told me that workers are staying in most of them. Fema has alot of families staying in them too because of them losing their homes.

120 mph seems correct. It was 5 mph stronger than Fran.

When is the Snowball Derby? On the local TV news last night, I heard it mentioned that most or all of the condo or most of the condo units over on the beach were booked until at least December (by workers), It was also mentioned that alot of places on the mainland were booked up too.
I know we went to Dennys the other night, and there were 4 or 5 Bellsouth trucks staying at the Motel behind it and as we were leaving a couple of more were coming in. It was about 6:30. I imagine more came later because it was a Saturday night.
We are still having telephone problems and my cousin hasn't got her phone as of yet!

The Snowball Derby is the first weekend in December. It actually starts on December 1st and runs through December 5th. It is a big racing event every year at Five Flags Speedway. People bring their cars from all over, including some Nascar drivers.

I finally was able to book a room on North Davis Hwy.

I'm glad you were able to get a room.
