Remember the thing about Hurricane Anita (1977) the NHC always reported, as well as recon, that Anita's SOUTHERN EYEWALL was the strongest. Odd..

THANK GOD Erika of 2003 was moving fast. It was only over the Gulf for 36 hours, yet still managed to make category 1. No doubt, Hurricane Erika of 2003 would have been a cat 4/borderline cat 5 had that fast movement not continued:
