Good Luck and God Bless

Cloudy here now. Starting a little after 0800, you could really hear Eglin moving out their aircraft.

Oh well...so much for that plan.

Back online now and apologize for not being able to report wind speeds and conditions during Ivan's approach. Took wife and kids to Orlando for 5 days and then came back to a very different Pensacola.

I left the windmeter with my parents, who stayed and live a few blocks from me, and my Dad quit taking readings in his driveway after a 45mph sustained. We live less than 1 nautical mile from the Pensacola Regional Airport wind gauge and that gauge registered over 101 mph gusts before breaking around 2 am.

And it didn't get real bad until around 3:00 AM. I would still like to know what the wind speed and gusts were. I guess is winds around 120 - 130 MPH with gusts to 140 - 150 MPH. I'm assuming there will be an analysis done like they did after Andrew to calculate the true wind speed.
