looks like season is over for Gulf

the strong cold front will end Hurricane season in the Gulf even though the season doesn't end till Nov 30th.

I wouldn't count the Gulf out this early. A cold Front doesn't signal the end of Gulf development. In fact, sometimes the cold front is what helps a storm develope as a disturbance can form on the tail end of a front as the front stalls and sits. I wouldn't let your guard down yet:):):)

You need at least 2 more strong fronts to
close the door on the GOM season. The cold
the is coming down right now will be strong but
short lived.
