I'm worried about mold, too. Yesterday I told my husband it was relatively safe enough to take them down. IMHO, anyway.

Take them down..not healthy for the home to be so closed.
Just put them up again when you're "within the cone".

Well, when it's only my 5'4" wife and me putting up 24 72" x 35" 5/8" boards, taking 10+ hours with minimal breaks, you tend to not want to go through that again.

It was mentioned on the telecast (though not the web report) that the family still had their plywood up from Ivan, and the fire marshall felt that it likely contributed to the woman not making it out of the home in time.
