How do you rank this site?

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Sun Oct 10, 2004 5:00 pm

As Storm2K's Site Statistician and in honor of our 2nd anniversary (last Friday). I thought I would poll you, the
members of Storm2K by simply ranking the site; 10 being the best, 1 being the worse.

Thank you very much in advance!!

I did not vote.

As of Tuesday, October 19 at 12:00 AM Eastern (198 hours):

...................10: 52% [ 80 ]
.....................9: 18% [ 29 ]
.....................8: 17% [ 27 ]
.....................7: ..5% [ ..8 ]
.....................6: ..3% [ ..4 ]
.....................5: ..2% [ ..3 ]

.....................3: ..1% [ ..1 ]

Note: One vote meant to be a "10," not a "1."

Yes, Brent... your assumption of "10" being the best, is correct. :)

I voted a "10", but not really sure what criteria you had in mind. For real-time (and even "before time"!!) tropical info, I don't believe there's anything else like it in the world!

Like I've always said, if one can't learn something about the tropics just about every time they visit S2K, they're just not looking to learn!!

There are many variables on why members (past and present) are interested or not interested in the atmosphere [there's one],
thus the criteria is of your choosing.

I believe I know who it was, but it wouldn't be right to post whom I presume it is, publically, nor in private to a fellow member.

The same is true for any members that voted for above a 3.

Please keep the votes coming. Again, thank you for taking part.

Kevin, 1 is you think the site is "poor." The majority wouldn't like it if 10 meant that.

as far as weather goes and as far as being a very good weather outlet.....I give the site thumbs up....only area I think is weak is the bickering and insults going on...especially the new members....look around, you dont see many of the old timers acting this way. If ya dont like what ya see...leave.....if not keep the negativeness to yourselves.

:uarrow: = The Truth

I give it a solid 9. A couple small areas to work on (and also because no one or nothing is always 100% perfect), but it's definitely the best out there! :)

Gave it an "8". Extremely well moderated, very interesting posts, and educational commentary provided the professionals and well-informed amatuers.

Prior to the great flood of Palm Beach Post refugees last summer, the "signal to noise" ratio was top notch, and I'd have given this site a "10", but I've been pleasantly surprised that the staff has been able to maintain a relatively high quality product. It's quite a credit to the staff that it has been able to do so.

Definately the best weather site on the net. Definately the fastest growing. It remains a good board because we do have some professionals on here from time to time and the mods seem to keep out the trouble. Very well done. Definate 10!

Interesting poll Tom.. Lets not beat up the ones that dont give us a "good" rating.. lol.. Instead let me ask the better question.. What can we do to improve?? We can only give you what you want, if you tell us what it is that you do want :-)
