Bet this NHC Track Map will be adjusted East.....

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Probably so unless they expect it to take a sharper northerly turn than before. I'm so ready for this all to be over so I can focus on the glorious weather of fall.

dixiebreeze,
what data suggests a move further east?
The models, earlier?

I guess they're waiting to see what the baroclinic Low will do to it.

Well, again, I hate to wish something on anyone else (especially Florida), but, it's fine by me if it goes East. Any tropical system away from my home is a good one (I detest no power)...maybe it'll die (doubt it)! I've had a good soaking and that's all I wanted.

I'll bet the track shifts west at 10 pm. Matthew is already starting to move more NE. I think he will move between NNE and NE going inland around Grand Isle LA.

Holy cow...Atlanta's gonna get soaked.....soaked, I tell ya. :grrr:

Between Frances, Ivan and Jeanne, we've had a foot of rain in the last month. We don't need it.

Ivan left my home with a tree down and 18 inches of water in the crawl space. We've just begun to get the mold under control down there. Next was to have the furnace serviced to make sure it still works (its in the crawl space).

ICK. This is NOT good.

Ditto. I went five days without after Ivan (relatively easy compared to others), and hated every second of it (and I was counting).
