So does that mean that this system now has more opportunity to become a TS or whatever?

I think Dean mentioned this earlier but the fact that it is movig with the shear it should allow for more strengthning. I'm thinking a Gordon. Gabby, Josephine scenario with 70 mph not out of the question.

Well in that case I know how to feel about this system then. I didnt experience any of the aforementioned TS's but from what I heard they were some trouble. Hopefully this one will be a fast mover wherever it strikes and not cause too much crap.

Oh please. The only thing bad that can happen with this system is if it rapidly intensifies like Charley and hits the Gulf Coast as a major. But I dont see that happening...

Well I think most people's concerns on the Gulf Coast is that we don't have winds over 50mph. FEMA is telling us that our temporary blue roofs can stand wind up to that amount, but we wouldn't want it any higher.

Yeah, tarps can actually stand alot. Alot of roofs had tarps when Jeanne came, and afterwards sure the tarps were ripped up a bit but the roof was still there.

Hopefully we're far enough South as to not be impacted because if we get any significant rainfall, Jupiter Farms will flood again. Ponds are still at their brim and the swales and drainage ditches still have water in them. I still can't get to the north end of my property because it is still under water.
