Not well organized at all.

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Not well organized at all.

While everyone is debating on whether
the mess in the GOM is moving e,ene,n,
nne or whatever. I've noticed in the
recent visible images that it doesn't look
at good as it did this morning.
I'm having a hard finding the center and it's motion.

I agree and it seems fairly obvious at this point it is irrelevant whether this becomes a named system or not. It is going to be a rain event for the Gulf Coast states from Texas to Florida. Given all of the obstacles this will have to overcome, at most it will become a 40-50mph TS. Now, with that being said I do realize that there are alot of folks who sustained damage from Ivan and this definitely will only add salt to their wounds.

It just looks like a massive rainmaker to me as well. Whether it's just a disturbance, a depression, or a weak tropical storm, the effects are the same.

I agree as of now. But this season has pulled some tricks on us. If that convection ever wraps around it could mean some trouble.

Thin clouds overhead here in Houston (NW area). They've already lowered our chance of rain to nil.

There's definitely something down there toward the BOC, it's all red down thataways.

But it's bypassing at least THIS part of Texas. Judging from the radars that I have looked at, it's bypassing MOST Of Texas, if not all.
