I thought it was pretty good - but that's an opinion from the outside looking in. I'll watch it again - even if they did mispronounce my hometown!!

The show was much more generic than I expected, it was ok. I had already seen most of the videos, so I was hoping for some really detailed analysis of this years pattern from the experts, and some other information regarding what the experts have learned, but the show seemed to be more programmed for a general audience. Also, I am not sure why they had to mention Hurricanes by "levels" instead of by categories, but to someone not too involved in weather, it's probably dont matter I guess.

Interesting you mentined the issue of "levels" vs. "categories". I had exactly the same thought as they were saying it... More hard facts and analysis, I agree, would bave been an improvement.

I think the show was more geared toward the casual person, not weather enthusiasts like most of us here.

was horrible. A lot of mis information
1. Charley was consistently forecats to come ashore as a major hurricane, no a weak cat 2
2. Ivan did not miss Grand Cayman. I'm sure the people there would love to hear that it did miss them
3. Grenada was hit by a cat 3, not a 5
4. The part on Jeanne was pathetic

I don't think they had the Jeanne part in time to complete the special. It really was incomplete, esp. the Jeanne part.

I don't think there is a part 2, but they will be airing it again this Saturday and next Tuesday according to their site.

National Geographic and Discovery Channel Programs usually don't provide the depth the people on this board are looking for..We need the Science channels or something made for Meteorologists. It all seems like baby talk on TV.. Now on radio nhcwx.com those shows have listener interaction with some very knowledgable discussions..imho..
TV is so weak on weather depth that anything related to weather is "interesting"..
Afterall.. TWC used to be more in depth for weather fans and now it's mostly kiddy shows and pretty maps..
