Bastardi's 6:30pm note...

He referenced the "heck of a SE surge" moving off the Yucatan toward the area of disturbed weather and that it would be interesting to see what happens when they intersect.

Me? I think that if there would be any fuel for the fire, it would take a day or two to resolve. We'll see.

Just about to note on another batch of convection heading to the BOC which will probably keep the convection going overnight.

I wouldnt really worry all too much about this. There is an incredible amount of shear for this system to overcome and it doesnt look like its gonna do it anytime soon. I would worry about a rain event more then anything.

I agree with WeatherEmperor. In fact, local mets here are saying that it should be quite a significant rain event from SE Texas through Southern Louisiana.
