2 APRS stations survive Jeanes landfall

My station CW0262 and K4ZZR were the only stations sending data of Jeanes western eye making landfall. Checkout the internal NOAA news letter.

You should be commended for being able to give the much needed information that was so vital at the time. This is amazing, and goes to show how the public can help.

Thanks! :) The other station was using batteries, I was using a small dedicated generator. But later on DSL failed me. I had gusts to 85 mph
and a low pres. of 953.7mb, WOW

Now all you need is a battery operated packet radio as back-up to the DSL
