I concur to everyone above, Mike!

I still find it hard to understand those select few who are against such a rapidly growing site. It is downright annoying to say the lease.

But I gotta believe they are in the extreme minority, Coldfront. Leave 'em be - they're typically not worth getting worked up over anyway! You guys do a wonderful job. I've looked, and nowhere - nowhere - on the web is there another site like this one!! S2K ROCKS!!

You're right, they are in the extreme minority which is a good thing.. It's not that I get worked up about it. When you try to be friendly to everyone, and these very few rank on something so great it concerns me. I suppose it isn't something someone as nice as me should be concerned with.

I feel this is something worth mentioning, but also fell that I may get in trouble for bringing up. Vast apologize and hopeful understanding.

Well, you know what they say... "The only behavior we ever have any control over is our own." If others choose to behave badly, it will catch up with them sooner or later, one way or another!!

Congratulations Mike. You and the team (to name a few off top - Air Force Met, donsutherland, USAwx1, Stormsfury, and all the mods and admins) have made this the #1 weather board to be at when things were busy this season. I am glad to be here amongst some of the best in the business; and you are definitely to be commended for all of your hard work. :D

I want to turn this back to Mike-after all that's how the thread started. I have been Mike's #1 fan since way back on the other board. (We both joined Storm2k on the same day) If he said it was going to snow in Naples, I'd have to believe him! Always the gentleman, always gracious, his forecasts are well thought out and usually dead on. In trying to write this tribute, I just realized there aren't the right words so I'll just say "Thanks for a job very well done, Mike. You are the greatest!"

Lynn

PS. This is not meant to take away from the wonderful job of all the other mods, forecasters, members and lurkers-too many to mention. What a great team, er, family.

Mike isn't just a good meteorologist he's a good human being. He's been the voice of reason and science for many years on several boards. I've seen him praised and I've seen him villified. But he loves what he does and HE CARES. Way to go Mike you deserve this thread and you deserve some credit too. You my friend are truely blessed you get to do something in life you love to do.

I have been following MWatkins forecasts since the "other" board and have always been impressed with his professionalism. I read the official forecasts, then always look to S2K and MW for the "rest of the story". It takes a lot to bring me out of lurkdom, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to say thanks and keep up the good work to MW and the rest of the S2K staff.

I concur. I've taken interest in his posts since "the other board", too. Great job and many thanks!
