Hurricane Alma in 1966 should have been retired. She formed early in June and caused many deaths in the Yucatan and Cuba. She hit Cuba as a Category 3. She also hit Florida on June 9th and holds the record of earliest hurricane to hit the U.S. She hit Florida as a Category 2. Her final death toll was around 90. (Most in the Yucatan)

Hurricane Edith (1971)
Hurricane Gordon (1994)
Hurricane Bertha (1996)

$400 Million was a lot of money in 1979 dollars
at that point in time wasn't that many multi Billion dollar storms
1965 Betsy ($1.4 Billion)
1969 Camille ($1.4 Billion)
1972 Agnes ($2.1 Billion)
Frederic became the fourth that year ($2.3 Billion)
