We were lucky, only had the western side of Ivan, winds around 90 mph, downed trees, house in good shape, and got power back already, thank God for A/C.... :D :D :D

So glad to hear you made it back OK and everything was intact. Now we just need to track Jeanne and push her to Antartica. :D

It sounds like Mobile made out remarkably well! I noticed on the NOAA website for the Mobile area the highest winds recorded during the peak of the storm was only 70mph. That surprises me. Surely there were higher gusts elsewhere. Apparently the Pensacola equipement failed because the last observations were around 3 am at 77mph. I know they had to have had MUCH more winds than that based on the damage I've seen. Gosh, even here in Orlando, some 100 miles inland from where Charley came ashore got smacked with 105 mph gusts. But fortunately it only lasted about an hour. We were without power for over 6 days! Talk about hot and miserable!
