We just suffered from major flooding from Frances. Ground is still very saturated from her and the above average precip summer we've had. They are predicting up to 3" from Ivan which will flood alot of places around here once again. I'll post details on it.

Ohiostorm - In your opinion, could this watch and remnants of Ivan shift westward and affect Cincinnati?
We want to see the Reds play the Cubs either Friday or Saturday nights in Cincinnati. Although storms are predicted anyway, nothing to do with Ivan, we wonder if some of that dumping effect will come this way afterall.

Flooding Potential
Friends:
I just checked the latest flood forecasts...here is from NOAA:
Wheeling: crest of 45.5' 9/19 (Wheeling Island underwater and business district begins to flood).
Wills Creek, Cambridge: crest of 22' 9/19 (significant flooding again).
Pittsburgh: crest of 30' 9/18 (significant downtown flooding).
The Ohio River is expected to crest only a few feet shy of the 1996 disaster. However, massive flooding is likely all along the Ohio River (and its tributaries). For example, KPIT is calling for a minimum of 3.5" and a max of 7" for East Central Ohio.
Dayton's forcast, .5"......and we need the rain

SIGNIFICANT ROAD FLOODING OCCURS IN NEWPORT KENTUCKY.(Translation: Almost no way out! Once we hit 62', there is only one way to get from Newport to Cincinnati...that's I-471) MUCH OF SOUTHERN OHIO TOWNSHIP IN CLERMONT COUNTY FLOODS...INCLUDING ABOUT HALF OF NEW RICHMOND. FLOODING CONTINUES TO WORSEN ON US 52. BACKWATER FLOODING WORSENS ALONG THE LITTLE MIAMI AND LICKING RIVERS...AND FLOODING OCCURS IN THE EAST END SECTION OF CINICNNATI.
