Bad from Ivan, but could've been Worse

#1 Postby TideFreak » Fri Sep 17, 2004 7:50 am

I'm in West Mobile. It was a pretty rough night on Wednesday into Thursday AM. He hit a fever pitch about 1:00 and it lasted until about 3:00. Roaring like a train. We lost tons of oak branches, had 1 small oak come down on the roof, and cause us to have a leak in our kitchen, and had 5 other trees come down in the backyard. One of them was a rather large oak, and it was completely uprooted. Boat cover on 18' Center Console was shredded. All in all though it could have been worse. The main thing is my family is safe. Just got a ton of cleaning up and work to do.
